Capturing Love at Sunset: A Mesmerizing Elopement Shoot at Palmer Park, Colorado Springs

There is something truly magical about capturing love in its purest form, especially during a breathtaking sunset. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph an elopement shoot at Palmer Park in Colorado Springs.

Meet Lauren and Trey: A Match Made in Heaven:

Lauren and Trey, the adventurous couple at the heart of this shoot, radiated an undeniable positive energy and genuine love for one another. As a photographer, capturing their love was an absolute joy.

The Picture-Perfect Look:

One cannot overlook the stunning transformation that makeup artist @DolledbySimone brought to the shoot. Lauren looked absolutely radiant, with her natural beauty enhanced flawlessly. The makeup tied together the entire ethereal look, perfectly complementing the scenic beauty of Palmer Park.

The Floral Delight:

No elopement shoot is complete without an exquisite floral arrangement, and @flowersbysolana truly outdid herself. The arrangements were elegant, vibrant, and seamlessly integrated into the enchanting landscape of Palmer Park. Each bloom seemed to reflect the couple’s love, adding a touch of romance to every captured moment.

As we embarked on our photography journey across Palmer Park, the ease of maneuvering through the park was a pleasant surprise. The park’s trails provided a perfect backdrop for Lauren and Trey’s intimate moments. Copper Falls Wedding Venue and Event Center

An Adventuous COLORADO WEDDING VENUE with amazing mountain views off the beaten path.

(Draft) As the wedding season is in full swing, many couples are looking for unique and breathtaking venues to tie the knot. One such venue that I had the pleasure of shooting at is Copper Falls, located in Loveland, Colorado. We did a styled shoot here during the end of May and we got some amazing shots!

(Still in draft) We had the pleasure of participating in a stunning styled photo shoot at the Copper Falls Wedding Venue and Event Center near Loveland, Colorado, and let me tell you – it was a total blast!

The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous – nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, with a beautiful waterfall on the premises that provided the perfect backdrop for our shoot. We had a stunning sunset which cast a warm, golden glow over everything and made for some seriously swoon-worthy photos.

But as amazing as the venue was, what really made the shoot special was the incredible team of vendors we had the pleasure of working with. From the florist to the stylist to the hair and makeup artists, everyone was so talented and dedicated, and it really showed in the final product.


The models we worked with were also total pros – they brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the shoot, and they looked absolutely stunning in the gorgeous gowns provided by our stylist.

And let’s talk about the overall organization of the shoot – it was flawless! Our photographer had everything planned out to the last detail, and we all worked together seamlessly to make sure every shot was captured beautifully.


All in all, it was an incredible experience, and we’re so grateful to have been a part of it. If you’re in the Loveland area and looking for a stunning wedding venue with an amazing team of vendors, we can’t recommend Copper Falls enough!

Sweet Freedom Farm: Blackhawk, Colorado

An Adventuous COLORADO WEDDING VENUE with amazing mountain views off the beaten path.

As the wedding season is in full swing, many couples are looking for unique and breathtaking venues to tie the knot. One such venue that I had the pleasure of shooting at is Sweet Freedom Farm, located in Blackhawk, Colorado. We did a styled shoot here during the middle of April. We wanted a spring-type vibe for this shoot but it snowed like a day before (of course). We still got some amazing shots!

This stunning venue is nestled amid the rolling hills of the Colorado Rockies, offering truly breathtaking views that are sure to capture your heart. Our planned styled wedding photoshoot was pure magic. It was an awe inspiring collaboration  with multiple talented vendors, including this venue photographers, event planners, florists, and more. The theme was country classic, and we all worked to create an atmosphere that was elegant, yet warm and friendly.

But what truly sets Sweet Freedom Farm apart is its off-the-beaten-path location. Although it’s just a short drive from Denver, this venue feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You’ll feel instantly calm and relaxed as you take in the peaceful rural surroundings, and you’ll be able to truly disconnect from the stresses of modern life.

Recently, we had the pleasure of participating in a styled wedding photoshoot at Sweet Freedom Farm, and we were blown away by the beauty of this venue. We worked with some of the top wedding vendors in the area to create a gorgeous bohemian-inspired shoot that showcased all the natural beauty that this venue has to offer.

From the vibrant wildflowers to the rustic wooden tables and chairs, every detail of this shoot perfectly complemented the natural surroundings. The stunning models looked right at home amid the forest and mountainous backdrops and the whole shoot had a dreamy, ethereal quality that perfectly captured the essence of Sweet Freedom Farm. The snow created a diamond dust effect that was truly magical.

Overall, we were extremely impressed by this venue and would highly recommend it to any couples looking for a unique and truly stunning place to get married. The Baxter Ranch Weddings and Events is a stunning 10-acre property that is a dream come true for anyone who loves a quaint, rustic charm atmosphere. Our planned styled wedding photoshoot was pure magic. It was an awe inspiring collaboration  with multiple talented vendors, including this venue photographers, event planners, florists, and more. The theme was country classic, and we all worked to create an atmosphere that was elegant, yet warm and friendly.

We had several couples join us during this shoot. The brides wore a beautiful lace gowns flowing effortlessly behind each of them. The brides’ hair was styled in a way that suited each of them elegantly. 

The beautiful florals used throughout the shoot were breathtaking, and the bouquets and centerpieces were a beautiful mix of white and cream roses, greenery, and more. The beautiful floral arrangements created a soft, romantic vibe that added a touch of elegance to the rustic atmosphere.

We had so much fun capturing such beautiful memories at Baxter Ranch. The venue’s stunning natural beauty provided the perfect background. The rolling hills, beautiful trees, and stunning views of the mountains were the perfect complement to our theme.

Hiking Pike's Peak

When my friend came back to Colorado Springs to visit, naturally we asked him what he wanted to do. Hiking Pike’s Peak was not something I expected him to say. I have been reluctant ever since moving to the springs to actually do a 14er, not because I don’t think I couldn’t do it, just because I didn’t want to wake up at the butt crack of dawn and be sore for the next 3-9 days.

We didn’t start quite as early we were hoping to. We wanted to start the hike at 530am… yeah that didn’t happen. I live in the north eastern part of Colorado Springs, it took me about 30min to drive to my brother’s house on the west side. We packed up our cars and waited for my friend to arrive. I got to my brothers house at 5am… my friend didn’t arrive until 545am, then we didn’t start driving to Crag’s Campground until around 6am.

My friends told me this hike would only take about 5 hours max. Yeah that definitely was a lie. The hike started off really nice. It wasn’t super steep and there weren’t that many rocks to impede us. The first 3-4 miles were a breeze. The last 2-3 miles to the top of the mountain was death. All in all it took us about 6-7 hours to get to the top of Pike’s Peak. 

Highly recommend bringing snacks and 2Liters of water. Bring gloves, a headlamp and toilet paper. There aren’t any amenities until you get to the top of the mountain, 

 

Also whoever owns the visitor center at the top of pikes peak, you need to hire more workers so the food line isn’t hours long. Also you should make a line for “hikers only” because…. hiking up 7miles then waiting an hour in line for food is something i would deem unacceptable. 

 

Your Donuts were in point though.
